As Howdra Boys Football Club embarks on its first season, we are pleased to have assembled a fantastic group of extremely talented boys who simply love playing the beautiful game. The team is brimming with talent from our goalkeeper all the way to our strikers. We have high hopes for this group of 8 year old boys and as with every aspect of life, we hope that they will continue to improve - improve their footballing skills as well as develop a mature and respectful attitude towards their opponents, match officials and coaches at all times.
Whilst we always encourage the kids to be competitive and give their best at all times, we recognize that the league has been put together for all the kids to collectively have fun and as football fans, we will be as enthusiastic and supportive with our kids as we will be with their opponents.
We have no doubt that this team will do extremely well in this its inaugural season and we are as excited as the boys to kick-off the campaign and start on the path towards lifting the IFA Under 9 trophy at the end of the season.
We are also pleased to have the support of all the parents and in that esteemed group, we have Sarah Howard, our statistician, who is on hand to work out goal differences and Elizabeth Ives who bakes the most delicious tea cakes.
We also have in our ranks, a Junior Coach, 3 year old Leon Howard who will be on the sidelines to give the team talk and hand out juices at half time.
We look forward to a very successful season and we hope that the boys will learn together, grow together and together, conquer all before them.
